The Sound Of Silence- DA StatementSo Eclipse is Coming
I'd like to organize a proactive even to show DA the possible results of a permanent Eclipse change-over. Instead of deactivating your accounts for good, or indefinitely boycotting the site, I'd like to make a Statement of Silence for those Users against Eclipse. Starting May 1st, I will not be active on Deviantart. I will not submit new deviations, journals or even visit the site for 3 Days time. From May 1st to May 3rd. I ask all all other Users who wish to keep old Deviantart to join me in this statement of silence.
Perhaps the abrupt halt and slow down of site traffic will show DA team members the devastating effects this could have on their audiences they cater to. They have failed to listen when we speak out... perhaps they will listen to The Sound Of Silence.

How Eclipse will effect Groups & Stash/Stash Writer
Eclipse: How it Affects GROUPS and STASH/WRITEREDIT: I've added some additional information about the new Sta.sh Writer editor below!
TL;DR: Groups (and Sta.sh*) will NOT be deleted or phased out when Eclipse launches next month. They will still behave the same way and will NOT be changing with the update!
Just a quick update since I know a ton of my friends, peers, and fellow DA artists have been freaking out about the future of DA Groups once May 20th rolls around and everyone is switched over to Eclipse. Understandably so, as there are a lot of rumors that have been circulating about Groups being phased out, deleted, etc. Same for Sta.sh and Sta.sh Writer.A.) So I decided to take a chance and reach out to a DA staff person who I noticed has been kind enough to answer a lot of folks directly when asked questions in various Eclipse threads. Here's the exchange we had:

Today marks one year since we lost you.
A year of not hearing your voice or laughter, not seeing your smile. A year of you not rolling your eyes at me, and a year of missed Sunday lunches at IHOP.
There are so many things I miss and so many things I've wanted to share with you. Instead, I'm left staring at a contact in my phone, a memorial corner on my desk, and a photo album I can't bring myself to open.
We had dinner at IHOP today to #PayItForward in your memory. They were nice enough to make what you always ordered, even though it's been off the menu for so long. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you, dad. Love you, now and always.
